The motivation behind the Ubuntu culture in Africa
An Anthropologist proposed a game to the African tribal children.
He placed a basket of sweets near a tree and made the children stand 100 meters away; he then announced that whoever reached first would get all the sweets in the basket.
When ready, he said, “Ready steady go” …Do you know what the children did? They all held each other’s hands, ran together towards the tree, divided the sweets equally among themselves, ate the sweets, and enjoyed it.
When the Anthropologist asked them why they did so, they answered,” UBUNTU.”
Which meant - “How can one be happy when the others are sad?”
UBUNTU in their language means:
“I am because we are” is a strong message for all generations.
Let us always have this attitude and spread happiness wherever we go.
Let’s have an “UBUNTU” Life…
I AM BECAUSE WE ARE
Ubuntu Arts Collaborative International Inc. is a new 501(c)3 non-profit incorporation that provides a spectrum of communities to artists, from fine art paintings to graphics design and all ranges of the visual arts. Ubuntu Art Collaborative International is a collaboration that started with two companies, Consulting Creatives International and PAWA.Org, in partnership with others in the art and humanitarian fields to bring attention to the damage of the African Diaspora and how we can build a bridge of healing through visual art. We continue to focus on filling our artists' needs entirely and thoroughly—our company motto is "An artistic journey towards healing."
This project provides Art forums in the U.S.A., Africa, and the rest of the world with recommendations for interactive activities to accompany the art exhibit of cross-cultural artists. These exhibits aim to foster working and cooperative artistic expressions that capture the curiosity and wonder of working together to inspire visitors to experiment with Global Culture.
We at UBUNTU know first-hand that the creative process can bring people together and help us find a better way to showcase African art to the global community. Artists in Africa and African America face enormous challenges accessing reliable and quality markets for their pieces. We have encountered those who ended up giving up on their talent due to the vast challenges they face. The founders of UBUNTU Art Collaborative International believe that the capacity for greatness is present inside each person. It is up to us to create the circumstances that will allow African-Americans and African Art to grow.
UBUNTU Art Collaborative International's endeavor is driven towards a path of success. Artists from various continents have decided to unite through their talent and skill to participate in charitable courses across both continents to support marginalized communities and offer humanitarian help to address societal climate and socio-economic challenges.
We welcome you to partner with us in this noble cause to make the USA, Africa, and the world a better place to live in than we found it. At Ubuntu Art Collaborative International, we firmly believe that together, we can create a positive impact in the community through art and climate change interventions by involving the youth across the world more constructively and in a manner that resonates with them.
